Anastasia McIntosh, DVM

Dr. Anastasia McIntosh graduated with honors from the College of Veterinary Medicine at Michigan State University in 2007. She graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in microbiology from the University of Michigan in 2003. While studying as an undergraduate, Dr. McIntosh took advanced
courses in infectious disease from The University of Michigan’s Medical School as well as the School of Public Health. Dr. McIntosh was awarded an opportunity, based on her academic excellence in veterinary college, to participate in innovative rabies research at the Centers for Disease Control in Atlanta, Georgia.
These combined experiences led to her clinical interest in infectious diseases, specifically those with human health implications. In addition, Dr. McIntosh has a professional interest in dentistry, gastroenterology, endocrinology, and hematology.

Following her graduation from veterinary school, Dr. McIntosh joined the team at Polo Springs Veterinary Hospital in 2007. In her spare time, Dr. McIntosh enjoys distance running. She has competed in marathons, ultra-marathons, and Ironman triathlons. She also enjoys hiking and snowshoeing with her family and her
dog, Rover. Two Boots, her rabbit, stays home and does daily yoga with the family.
