Celebrating One Year of Partnership with Rabies Free Africa
Polo Springs Veterinary Hospital is proud to celebrate one year of partnership with Rabies Free Africa (RFA)! Over the past year, we’ve contributed $745.00 to this vital cause, funds that come directly from our clients’ generosity. For every rabies vaccine administered at our hospital, $1.00 is automatically donated to support RFA’s mission to eliminate rabies in Africa.
Dr. McIntosh’s Journey to Africa
Earlier this year, Dr. McIntosh traveled to Africa to participate firsthand in RFA’s dog vaccination campaigns. During her trip, she joined other veterinary professionals in the field to vaccinate dogs, learn about local public health challenges, and witness the life-saving impact of this program on both people and animals. Her experience brought to life the incredible importance of rabies prevention efforts and strengthened our hospital’s commitment to continuing this partnership.
Why Rabies Free Africa’s Work Matters
Rabies is a preventable yet deadly disease that still affects thousands of people worldwide, particularly in regions where access to vaccines and education is limited. The statistics underscore just how crucial this work is:
