Lisa Gerleman, DVM

Chief of Staff

Dr. Gerleman graduated Summa Cum Laude from Colorado State University in 1990 with a Bachelor of Science in veterinary science. That same year she became a member of The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi by the election of the Chapter at Colorado State University. In 1993, Dr. Gerleman graduated first in her class from the College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences at Colorado State University. She was also elected to membership in the Theta Chapter of the Society of Phi Zeta, the Honor Society of Veterinary Medicine.

During her attendance in veterinary school, and with the sponsorship of one of the world’s largest pharmaceutical companies, Dr. Gerleman was selected by an infectious disease expert to help design a definitive diagnostic test for a common parasite that causes life-threatening diseases in humans and animals. Following graduation from veterinary school, Dr. Gerleman worked with the veterinary dermatologists at Colorado State University before moving into private small animal practice. In 1997, after working with a number of veterinary practices and specialists in Colorado, she founded Polo Springs Veterinary Hospital and currently serves as its Chief of Staff. Dr. Gerleman’s professional interests include internal medicine, surgery, preventative care, and emergency medicine. After over 20 years in veterinary practice, Dr. Gerleman is most thankful for the personal relationships she has developed with so many wonderful clients and devoted staff members. Her highest honor is the confidence and trust given to her by the people who have chosen Polo Springs for their veterinary care.
